Help and Encouragement in a Time of Need

While Focus on the Family is not a relief organization, we do care deeply whenever a natural disaster strikes or any kind of crisis interrupts the lives of anyone in our world.

Our ability to help in such times is limited, so we typically attempt to channel what we can do through pastors in the area impacted by some kind of devastation. It is also possible that many of these materials will be useful to those experiencing personal crises, perhaps unknown to others.

In order to make these resources of encouragement and help available immediately, we have formatted them as PDF files that can be immediately viewed, downloaded or printed for distribution as soon as it is viable. Here are some materials that pastors and congregations may find helpful in a time of crisis:

In addition to these materials, we do have some booklets and other resources that can be obtained by calling Focus on the Family at 1-800-A-FAMILY (1-800-232-6459).

We also can provide a listening ear, some simple advice, a heartfelt prayer or appropriate resources to members of pastoral families on our toll-free Pastoral Care Line at 1-877-233-4455 on Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. (Mountain).

For those who are not part of a pastor's family, our Focus on the Family Counseling Department is available during business hours (1-800-A-FAMILY) for a brief personal consultation or a referral to a local counselor who can provide full assistance.

We pray that, if you are going through a difficult time as a result of a natural disaster or some other crisis, you will know that God is with you and is loving you through it all. May He bless you and provide for you.
