Greetings from Colorado Springs! As you make plans for the busy months ahead, I would like to extend a personal invitation to you and your spouse to attend a unique Focus on the Family Pastor and Spouse Retreat at either the beautiful La Quinta Resort and Club in La Quinta, California, or the Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

These retreats are intended to give you and your spouse an opportunity to rest and recharge. We know that you will be encouraged, enjoy times of laughter and fellowship, and have quality time together as a couple.

Since Focus on the Family is underwriting a majority of the cost for each attendee, we are able to make these retreats available for only $200 per couple. This includes two nights lodging, four meals and all conference materials. Clearly, each retreat will fill quickly, so please contact us as soon as possible. The registration information is below.

— Important Details —

• To register, call Focus on the Family toll-free at (800) A-FAMILY (232-6459).
• Each retreat is limited to 100 couples currently pastoring a church. No singles or children.
• The cost of these retreats — which includes two nights lodging, four meals and all conference materials — is greatly reduced since Focus on the Family is underwriting a majority of the expense for each attendee.
• Check-in for the retreat will take place Tuesday afternoon between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
• The retreat will conclude before lunch on Thursday.
• A reduced room rate is available three days before and three days after the retreat. If you choose to come early or stay after the retreat, the daily rate at the La Quinta will be $89 plus tax and the rate at the Cheyenne Mountain will be $99 plus tax. Please do not call the resort directly, but let us know when you register with us if you would like to come early or stay after the retreat. You will need to make arrangements for payment for the extra nights when you check in at the resort.

• A $25 processing fee will be charged on all cancellations.

Dave & Jan Dravecky

Dave Dravecky's story is one of hope, courage and perseverance in the midst of dark and overwhelming uncertainty. Dave is known to baseball fans around the world for his dramatic 1989 comeback to the major leagues following cancer surgery on his pitching arm. Just as dramatic was Dave's departure from baseball after the return of his cancer and the amputation of his left arm.
